Desire Lines: Human Observations on Natural Ephemerality

Desire Lines: Human Observations on Natural Ephemerality, is a project examining the difference in the human perception of man-made environments versus natural ones. Similar to the pond in Monet’s ’Water Lillies’, in which the industrial intervention in a natural setting is forgotten and presented as natural beauty, Johan Holst Zwergius examines this phenomenon of alteration through four photographs of various tableaux in Gothenburg’s Botanical Garden.
